Black Muslim Films
Films for Black Muslim Lives & the Muslim International
The Center for Global Muslim Life at its roots is an attempt to live into the internationalist vision of Malcolm X, which included his love of his people and his work for racial justice in the United States and around the world. The struggle of the African American and American Indian communities are at the root of all struggle in the United States and have inspired movements around the world. It is with this in mind that we put together a collection of 15 films from Black Muslims in the United States. Ranging from featuring length films and documentaries to short music videos, it’s a beautiful collection.

Malcolm X (1972) (Documentary)
Often misunderstood, Malcolm X was one of the leading forces of the United States' Civil Rights Movement. He inspired many--and frightened many--but is destined to be remembered as one of the greatest men of his era. This riveting biography--based on The Autobiography of Malcolm X and filmed shortly after his assassination while the passions of the Movement still burned--combines speeches, newsreels and film clips provided by friends and acquaintances.
